A room that performs every time someone walks in.

A live install is the moment all eight stacks have to cooperate without bugs. Projectors throw warped images onto curved surfaces. Sensors track where people are. Audio fills the space, latency-locked to whatever's happening on screen. A central show-control program keeps the whole orchestra in time.

01 · The thirty-second version

Every surface is a screen, every prop a button.

An immersive install dissolves the line between the venue and the content. Projection mapping distorts a video image so that when it lands on an irregular surface — a curved wall, a sculpted prop, a building façade — it looks geometrically perfect from the audience's viewpoint. Sensor tracking feeds the live state of the room (where people are, what they touched, how loud the cheer was) into the show.

The brain is show-control software. Cues fire in sequence: lights dim, audio swells, projection content steps to the next clip, a robotic prop rotates. Each cue arrives within a frame of the others — because if they don't, the audience sees the seams and the magic snaps. We rehearse, we instrument, we have a redundant backup machine in the rack.

The hardest moment is opening night. "It worked yesterday" is not a defense. We design for the failure modes that museums actually see — yanked cables, drunk visitors, dust in the lens, a projector overheating in hour three. Quiet recovery beats spectacular failure.

Five layers, one orchestra.

Each layer has its own software, but they all listen to the same conductor.

Stage
Physical layout: projectors, screens, props, sensors, lighting, audio. Surveyed and CAD'd before anything ships.

Map
Projection mapping software warps each output to fit its surface. Per-projector calibration, edge-blending across overlaps.

Sync
A master clock (genlock or PTP) keeps every render machine, audio rig and lighting controller in lockstep within a single frame.

Trigger
Show-control cue list fires events: time-based, sensor-based, operator-based. OSC, DMX, MIDI, MQTT all mixed in.

Run
Show is live. Operator watches dashboards, ready to manually fire fallback cues. Telemetry logs every event for post-show review.

A retail window that wakes up when a passerby stops to look. Camera detects gaze, content swaps to a personalized greeting. Sleeps when the sidewalk is empty. Saves projector hours, doubles dwell time.

Phone-driven stage lighting
During a live event, audience phones (over WebSocket) became the lighting controllers. A custom Node bridge routed taps and tilts to a DMX universe. The room reacted to the crowd — literally.
